We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias to join our NHS Maintenance team in Bristol. Rydon is a successful construction, development, maintenance, investment and management group operating throughout England, predominantly in London and the southern counties.
Rydon Maintenance is an expanding division of the Rydon Group which within our healthcare division provides hard facilities management services to a range of Trusts across the NHS on a unique partnering agreement basis.
Rydon Maintenance is currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias to join our Bristol based NHS maintenance team based out of Blackberry Hill Hospital. As part of this exciting role, you will provide planned, preventative and responsive repairs within the Trust. You will carry out maintenance on all mechanical plant to include maintaining AHU’s, pumps, motors and plant room care.
You will work as part of a highly skilled maintenance team (consisting of plumbing, electrical and multi skilled maintenance operatives) .This team are responsible for ensuring that jobs completed meet the desired quality and customer service standards. You will be responsible for covering reactive and planned maintenance to ensure that this busy hospital environment is operational at all times. The ideal candidate will also be able to undertake 'multi-skilled' FM maintenance tasks.
Normal working hours are 8am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. There is also the opportunity to participate in an on-call rota system (which offers the opportunity to increase your earnings and be involved in additional urgent repairs).
This is a varied and genuinely diverse opportunity with excellent training opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have previous electricial and/or mechancial maintenance experience. This experience will ideally have been gained working within the NHS (or for a maintenance contractor providing services to the NHS) however other commercial experience will also be considered (ie. commercial offices, hotels, schools).
