We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer (Electrician) to join our NHS Maintenance team in Bedford.

Our maintenance business provides a range of expert planned and responsive maintenance services to domestic properties and commercial buildings in the social housing, health and social care sectors. We look after a growing number of healthcare buildings for NHS Trusts, residential homes and educational facilities. Using the latest technology we ensure properties are well maintained, efficient and fit for purpose.
Our NHS Healthcare team in Bedford delivers a first-class repairs service in partnership with an NHS Trust. The role is varied where you will provide reactive and planned maintenance to 42 NHS buildings across 20 sites in Bedford and Luton. These sites include mental health facility centres and care centres. As such, we work to strict safety requirements and timescales to ensure these busy hospital environments are operational at all times and to ensure the comfort and safety of the service users.
As a maintenance electrician you will undertake electrical PPM's of; distribution boards, electric water heaters, generators and emergency light systems. You will also be providing repairs on a reactive basis as well as completing small installation works including testing, fault finding, rewiring, and upgrade of new and existing wiring and general ad-hoc repairs ensuring that jobs completed meet the desired quality and customer service standards.
Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. This is a mobile role and as such you will be provided with a company van and fuel card.
The ideal candidate will have previous relevant experience in the maintenance of buildings, which will have ideally been gained within the NHS (though candidates that have previous commercial property experience as an electrician will be considered). As a minimum the successful candidate will have their 17th edition certification. 2391/ 2392 testing and inspecting would be desirable, but not essential.
You will have excellent customer service skills and be passionate about providing high quality repairs.
