We now have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a plastering/multi trade background to join our maintenance team in Islington.

Our maintenance business provides a range of expert planned and responsive maintenance services to domestic properties and commercial buildings in the social housing, health and social care sectors. We look after a growing number of healthcare buildings for NHS Trusts, residential homes and educational facilities. Using the latest technology we ensure properties are well maintained, efficient and fit for purpose.
Our maintenance team are responsible for providing ongoing planned and reactive maintenance for more than 9,000 residential properties across London. This position will cover a patch of North London in Islington where our housing stock consists mainly of Victorian/Edwardian Street properties.
As a multi skilled plasterer, you’ll carry out high quality repairs and maintenance works to these domestic properties. This will mostly be plastering, with works varying from pulling down damaged plaster board and re-boarding to full skim of walls along with other skilled tasks such as carpentry or painting and decorating. As one of our values is focused on delivering a great customer experience, you'll strive to meet set timescales and get the work done with a 'right first time' approach. The works will take place in residential homes so customer service and tidiness is crucial. You’ll have a good focus on Health and Safety awareness and wear the correct PPE at all times.
You will be provided with a company van, fuel card and uniform as part of this excellent opportunity.
The successful candidate will have previous relevant experience in the maintenance of buildings, this will have ideally been gained working for a maintenance contractor although is not essential.
The preferred candidate will hold a trade City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification. You will have substantial knowledge of plastering and general building skills would be an advantage. This could include: carpentry, painting, tiling etc. You will also hold a valid CSCS Card.
You will be an effective communicator and will possess customer care skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Above all, we are looking for an individual who is motivated with the ability to put the customer/client first.
