Rydon Maintenance Limited is an expanding division of Rydon providing refurbishment and facilities management services to a variety of clients, predominantly within the housing and healthcare sectors.
We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Operative with multi-trade experience to join our Islington based maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out general planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on our social housing contracts.
As part of the role you will be working in occupied and void properties undertaking responsive maintenance, planned and void works. Replacing and maintaining all building fabrics, fittings and fixtures within domestic social housing properties. Daily tasks will include but not limited to, replacing, maintaining and repairing internal doors, fire doors, UPVC windows and doors handles and hinges, glass units, door frames, locks, flooring, woodwork, stud wall patch repairs, basic plumbing.
Liaising with our scheduling team you enable a response to all jobs. You will keep them informed to maximise efficiency of service delivery, ensure appointments are kept and repairs completed within target timescales and identify and report issues that affect service delivery to support continuous improvement.
This is a mobile opportunity and you will be provided with a Company van and fuel card. As such a full UK driving license is required.
Previous relevant experience in the maintenance of buildings is essential. This experience would ideally have been gained within a social housing maintenance sector.
