    We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Administration Assistant to join our construction site team in Ealing, London. Rydon is a successful construction, development, maintenance, investment and management group operating throughout England, predominantly in London and the southern counties. We are a dynamic, multi talented organisation, working across a wide range of sectors within the built environment.

    Job Purpose

    You will join Rydon as a key member of the on site administration team working to regenerate the Green Man Lane estate in the London Borough of Ealing. The role is based in our semi-permanent offices and will support our office based construction teams who oversee the construction process. Rydon, as developer and contractor, is working to transform the estate into an attractive, safe and sustainable community where people choose to live. We are bulding more than 300 new homes and a primary school so you would be joining an active and busy site office environment.


    Working alongside our document controller you will provide administration support to ensure the smooth running of the construction site. This will involve responding to emails and telephone calls and messages, ad-hoc requests from our site team to file, copy and print documents as well as meeting and greeting all internal and external visitors. The role is made up of planned and ad-hoc duties meaning that no two days are ever the same. 


    Other key responsibilities include;

    • Answering calls / taking messages and directing to appropriate team member.
    • Open and distribute post to the appropriate team members.
    • Arrange meetings, book meeting rooms and provide refreshments as appropriate, including setting up the training room as required.
    • Assist with any general typing.
    • Assist with general filing duties of both documents and drawings.
    • Provide assistance to the Document Controller with day-to-day problem solving and ad-hoc administration requirements.
    • Organise the scanning and archiving of documents throughout the project.

    Experience Required

    This role would ideally suit an individual in the early stages of their career (full training will be provided), looking for a role that will allow significant opportunity for personal growth and development. Alternatively, the role would also suit a candidate with excellent customer services experience and a background in administration or  perhaps you've had previous experience of working in a similar construction site administration based role. 


    The preferred candidate will have excellent attention to detail and a good understanding of the use of Microsoft Office Packages such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and Excel. You may have previous administration experience, though candidates looking to commence their career who hold GCSE Maths and English will also be considered. Above all, the preferred candidate should be keen to work as part of a team, have excellent communication skills (written and verbal), be confident to liaise with anyone visiting the business and be looking for a career with extensive opportunity for personal development.
