Rydon Maintenance Limited is an expanding division of Rydon providing refurbishment and facilities management services to a variety of clients, predominantly within the housing and healthcare sectors.
As part of our continued growth and success we are currently seeking a Maintenance Operative, with a Plumbing bias and multi-trade knowledge to join our team in Islington on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out general planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across a number of our Social Housing contracts.
As part of the role you will be responsible for carrying out general plumbing maintenance as part of our cyclical, voids and responsive maintenance contracts across both social housing and ‘let’ units. You will also provide 'multi-trade' repairs on a reactive (call-out) basis, this could include plastering, carpentry, tiling, painting and decorating for example.
Liaising with our scheduling team you enable a response to all jobs. You will keep them informed to maximise efficiency of service delivery, ensure appointments are kept and repairs completed within target timescales and identify and report issues that affect service delivery to support continuous improvement. You will be provided with a company van and excellent training/development as part of this varied and genuinely diverse opportunity.
A full UK driving licence and a live CSCS card is required for this role.
Previous relevant experience in the maintenance of buildings is essential; social housing maintenance sector is ideal.
