Rydon Maintenance is an expanding division of the Rydon Group which within our housing contracts provides hard facilities management services to tenanted and void properties on a unique partnering agreement basis for housing associations.

Job Purpose

As part of our continued growth, we are currently seeking a talented Building Surveyor to join our Cyclical and Lifecycle works planning team working on our Key Social Housing Contracts. The role is based in Islington. This is one of our flagship partnerships delivering ongoing maintenance works to social housing stock consisting of both Victorian Street properties and several high rise blocks.

 

The Building Surveyor will be responsible for the execution of Lifecycle and Cyclical works,  as well as commercial, financial and contractual matters working as part of a highly effective team driving business performance. This is an exciting and challenging role where you will carry out property surveys, converting findings to specifications. You will be fully aware of building regulations, planning and listed building applications and its process understanding, listed building and conservation area protocol, general surveying practices and much more.

Experience Required

You will be fully aware of building regulations, planning and listed building applications and its process understanding, listed building and conservation area protocol, general surveying practices and much more. You will also have:

  • Ability to assess the correctness, performance to date, and likely future performance of the various constituent elements that combine to make a building.
  • Ability to diagnose faults and produce specifications of works.
  • Have sound numeracy skills and required level of commercial acumen.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and proven negotiation skills.
