Rydon consists of four operating companies with a focus on education, residential and healthcare sectors and provides new build, refurbishment, lifecycle and maintenance services.
We now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Bid Manager to join our bids team based at our Head Office in Forest Row, East Sussex. As part of this role you will provide bids management expertise to lead our central bid writing and coordination team, setting and achieving deadlines to create winning bid responses. You will use your leadership skills to assemble technical and subject matter experts to assist in the production of compelling bid content that meet (or exceed) client expectations. You will also set clear timelines and targets for your teams. You will also be responsible for bid quality, ensuring that the presentation and content of all bid submissions meets our already very high standards.
You will be joining a team that creates and produces bid responses for tender enquiries at both PQQ (pre-qualification questionnaire) and ITT (invitation to tender) stages. These tenders might cover construction, development, planned and responsive maintenance within the housing, education and healthcare sectors. As such the role offers genuine diversity where no two days are the same.

The successful candidate will demonstrate previous experience as a Bid Manager and have experience of preparing and delivering successful bids. You will demonstrate excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate/lead disparate teams to provide bid content, even when they are based in remote locations. Whilst experience of bid submissions in the construction/built environment would be helpful, other sector experience will be considered as it is more important that the successful candidate is able to demonstrate experience assembling and leading bid teams to success. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and you will have the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and communicate and influence at senior levels.
If you have the above experience, we'd strongly encourage you to apply.
