Rydon Maintenance is an expanding division of the Rydon Group and is successfully providing facilities management services to a variety of clients, predominantly within the healthcare sector, providing planned, preventative and reactive building maintenance.
As part of our NHS planned, preventative and reactive maintenance division, Rydon is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative to join its South West based team at Blackberry Hill Hospital in Bristol.
Our team of maintenance operatives are responsible for carrying out general maintenance to include a range of tasks including basic electrical (changing lightbulbs and sockets) basic plumbing, carpentry, joinery and iron-mongery (changing of locks, door handles, hinges etc), carrying out regular operational checks (such as fire alarm and temperature checking), patch plastering, painting, replacing floor tiles and much more.
In addition to the above, there will also be some planned maintenance activities such as planned upgrade works, refurbishment as part of our ongoing efforts to ensure a safe environment for service users.
You will work in a live secure healthcare environment and as such its important that proper protocols are followed at all times to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for staff and service users.

Previous relevant experience gained in undertaking building maintenance is essential, ideally gained within the NHS (or for a maintenance contractor providing services to the NHS). Alternatively, you will have worked for a maintenance contractor providing a planned/reactive maintenance service in a commercial setting (perhaps a hotel, schools, supermarkets etc).
