Rydon Maintenance is an expanding division of the Rydon Group and is successfully providing facilities management services to a variety of clients within the health and housing association sectors.
We are now seeking an experienced Maintenance Operative (Water Hygiene) to join our NHS Maintenance team in Sidcup, which delivers a first-class repairs service in partnership with a large Acute NHS Trust.
As part of the role you will be providing planned preventative maintenance on hot and cold and closed water systems to HTM & ACOP L8 standards for effective legionella control. You will have experience of thermostatic mixer valves, be able to carry out tank inspections and disinfection of water, storage tanks and domestic services, water temperature monitoring, water sampling, system flushing, shower head descales, calorifier inspection and de-scaling and disinfection of Calorifiers.
In addition to the above, there will also be planned maintenance activities such as planned upgrade works, refurbishment as part of our ongoing efforts to ensure a safe environment for service users.
You will be provided with excellent training/development as part of this varied and genuinely diverse opportunity.
Previous relevant experience in the maintenance of commercial buildings is essential, ideally within the NHS (or for a maintenance contractor providing services to the NHS). The successful candidate will ideally have a background in plumbing and it is required for you to have legionella ACOP L8 awareness.
