Rydon Maintenance is an expanding division of the Rydon Group and is successfully providing facilities management services to a variety of clients, predominantly within the healthcare and housing association sectors.
Rydon Maintenance is currently seeking an experienced Roofing Operative (Maintenance Operative) - planned and reactive repairs - to join our Islington based social housing repairs team. This team is responsible to general, planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across a housing stock of in excess of 10,000 homes (both occupied and unoccupied). Working as part of a dedicated in-house repairs team, the successful candidate will have previous experience of London/Butterfly roofs and will primarily be responsible for asphalting/slating/tiling of roofs, leak investigation and repair and lead dressing. This is a genuinely diverse role with the opportunity for further personal growth/development.
Normal working hours are 8am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.
You will be provided with a company van and excellent training/development as part of this varied and genuinely diverse opportunity. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a planned, preventative or reactive repairs roofing operative with a maintenance contractor (or housing association). You should demonstrate a relevant trade qualification (such as City and Guilds Roofing), hold a CSCS card and have excellent communication skills.
This is a mobile opportunity and as such a full driving license is required.
